Privacy Policy
Dc Presents respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated: September 1, 2026.
Who we are
Dc Presents is a branding and marketing practice based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Our mailing address is PO Box 13171, St. John’s, NL, A1B 4A4.
If you have a question about privacy, or you want to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email dc@dcpresents.ca.
What we collect, and when
When you send an enquiry. The contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number and a subject line, along with whatever you write in the message. We use it to answer you. That is the whole purpose.
When you sign up for the newsletter. We collect your email address, and your name if you give it, so we can send you the newsletter.
When you simply read the site. Our host records ordinary technical information for every visit, including your IP address, browser, and the pages you asked for. This happens automatically on essentially every website and we use it to keep the site available and secure.
When you choose light or dark. The site remembers that one choice in your browser’s own storage so the next page you open matches it. It never leaves your device and it tells us nothing about you.
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages get read and whether our advertising works. It sets cookies (named _ga, plus one starting _ga_) to tell one visit from another. It does not give us your name or your email address, and we do not connect it to anything you type into a form. You can block these cookies in your browser and every part of the site keeps working.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.
Who else touches it
Running a website means using other companies, and your information passes through some of them.
- Cloudflare hosts this site and stores form submissions for us.
- Resend delivers the email that a form submission generates.
- Google provides the analytics described above, and supplies the star rating shown with the reviews on our home page.
The rating is worth spelling out, because it works differently from the analytics. Our own server asks Google for the score and the number of reviews on a schedule and holds the answer briefly. Your browser never contacts Google for it, and Google is never told that you visited. Where we show Google’s content we do so under the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service, and Google’s own Privacy Policy governs anything Google handles. Both form part of this policy.
These are United States companies, so information you send us may be stored or processed outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of another country. We use them because they are reliable, not because they are cheap, but you should know where your information goes.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. If you want something gone sooner, ask and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send, or by replying and asking.
You can also ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email dc@dcpresents.ca and we will respond. Canadian privacy law gives you these rights and we are not going to make you fight for them.
Children
This site is meant for people doing business with us. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so rather than hoping nobody notices.
