Until the actual text is received, Lorem ipsum is used instead in order to ensure that everything will work and look the way it should – a very important part in our quality assurance. It’s compiled of an array of Latin words that look like it could be a sentence, but once you start reading it’s clear that it’s not!
Most people believe that this is just random but there is talk that it actually dates back to a very old Latin book that actually has certain Lorem ipsum passages. Don’t ask me to translate though – I’m not that good! Today there are countless Lorem ipsum generators whose purpose is to generate funny versions. These versions tend to use different languages and more modern words. We find that a little dangerous though. It is much easier to miss words that you see on a regular basis than it is to miss the dead language of Latin.
