It’s the world’s worst kept secret that view through rates on those skippable YouTube ads are atrocious. Something like 85 per cent of people skip as soon as five seconds tick by, and the big ‘Skip Ad’ button shows up.
Geico realized this and, instead of repurposing their tv spots online, they created ads just for YouTube that are essentially unskippable and ultimately hilarious.
