Let’s stay in
Thanks, Dc! Although I do love a good guessing game, I just want to say flat out that we stayed at The Inn by Mallard Cottage and we were all #MindBlown. IT. WAS. SO. GOOD. If you think you have a handle on what’s happening in Quidi Vidi but you haven’t checked out the Inn, I will say that I love you but I kind of feel like you might need to get your priorities straight!
Gut feelings
Our team needed somewhere to go — overnight — for a strategy sesh, a change of space and place and a reason to look at things a little differently. Enter Steve Lee, Todd Perrin and their incredible team at the Inn. Our rooms were gorgeous — bright whites, vibrant handmade quilts, considerately-designed furnishings. We rocked an in-room happy hour and then crossed the street for supper at Mallard Cottage — to say that boots were filled and hospitality enjoyed is a serious understatement. We could’ve stayed later but we all fell into our intensely comfy beds to dream about our on-site staff meeting the next AM. It was pretty much the best staff meeting ever, due to the incredibly kind service, lovely amenities and general vibes of the meeting space at the Inn. From start to finish, the Dc famjam was loved, respected and treasured by the Mallard crew. 20/10 would recommend.
Thanks, Sarah. What did we take away from our team’s experience at the Inn at Mallard Cottage? It wasn’t just about the stellar rooms. The high-touch service delivered humbly. The one-two punch of staying plus dining. Our real moment came when we realized that this is our place. These are our people. They’re doing ALL OF IT for us, just as much as they are for the world wanderers who choose our place. It’s to be lived, loved, and savoured. And it’s just down the street.
