It’s been super fun working with Jonathan and the George Street Association team over the past few months to plan another awesome festival. We began our partnership early on in the year by creating a super user-friendly and easy-to-navigate website. This was a must-have to keep street-goers informed about all the awesome events happening on George Street and to stay connected. For the past few months we have been absolutely flat out, pumping out posters, ads, graphics, social content, festival passes… and the list goes on! Nevertheless, it’s all been for the festival and to make sure it goes off without a hitch. This whole series of projects went so far beyond a team collaboration. Everyone had their hands and eyes on it at some point, and we could not be happier with the results!
Hittin’ up the street
We kicked off GSF a few weeks ago with the George Street Festival Media Launch at Bridie Molloy’s. Media, stakeholders, and community members came together to celebrate the launch of the festival, and to get everyone pumped for this week! It was so great to finally be able to show off all of the hard work and creativity that went into this year’s George Street Festival.
As a musician, planning and promotion of an event is so important to me. I’ve spent a lot of time playing on George Street with my band, The Hallidays, so it’s pretty cool to know how hard they work to ensure a fun, safe, and entertaining atmosphere for performers, staff, and audience members!
