Have you heard?
A few years ago, we started offering a feature in our website projects called “Responsive Design.” This approach to making websites respond and work beautifully on all screen sizes was becoming ever more important, and we wanted our clients to be ahead of the curve.
Well, the curve has arrived! Search giant Google has announced that it will be updating its search rules on April 21st: Mobile friendly sites are going to get a little more love and those that aren’t may lose search traffic from people using phones and tablets.
Are you affected?
The easiest way to find out if your site will be affected is to run it through this handy-dandy Google test. If you get a green ‘Awesome!‘ you’re golden. If you get a red message, you’ve got some work to do.
What next?
Responsive design is best implemented when your site is built but it may be possible to upgrade an existing non-mobile website. Get in touch and we’ll be happy to give you some personalized advice.
Check out your site today and don’t be left in the dust!
